Pattern was originally published in Laine Magazine vol 14.

Skagen Cardigan is a top down, shortish, raglan cardigan knitted back and forth. It is a reasonably quick cardigan suitable for the knit stich lover since there aren’t many purl stitches in this garter stitch design. Knitting techniques include Italian tubular cast on and cast off.

This is the Summer cardigan that you can throw over your shoulders on chilly evenings, or pack in your bag for extra warmth when required. The design is slightly tight-fitting and short, with half-length sleeves, to fit nicely over your top, dress, or skirt. An overall understated, uniquely simple design .

Directions
The cardigan is worked back and forth in garter stitch, from the top down, to make adjusting the length of both body and sleeves easy. Italian Cast-On is used to make a nice, stretchy neck edge, and add a small tuck before working the main body, starting with short rows over neck, shoulders, and sleeves to ensure a perfect fit of the neckline. The yoke is worked with raglan increases, and the yoke stitches are then divided into body and sleeves, which are finished separately and rounded off with tucks inside the twisted 1x1 rib stitch cuffs and hems.
