I don’t know about you, but as soon as I feel that autumnal chill in the air, I feel the need to spend a ridiculous amount of time watching classic horror movies. Give me ghosts and vampires and werewolves and monsters; add some popcorn and a Halloween-inspired knitting project, and I’m content for ages.

And that’s why I created this project: a quick and easy-to-knit cowl that uses cables to create that skeleton spine-and-ribs look. Put your favorite horror movie on, cozy up on the couch, and get out your knitting! Make this cowl for Halloween, or, for an easy change-up, wear it with the cables facing the other direction for a very cozy winter cowl that works all season long!

I used one skein of Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick and Quick in Grey Marble and a 10 mm 24” circular needle to make this cowl. You may also want to have a cable holder nearby to help with the cables.
