Worked in 8 pie-shaped wedges that form a half circle in black and white variegated yarn, the Sketchings Shawlette appears to be an optical illusion formed by pencil sketching. It is worked from side to side using short rows to form the wedges and is written for worsted weight yarn. I used 2 skeins (225 yards per skein) of Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Worsted Superwash Merino Wool Yarn in Shade 101 or Shadow. Sketchings is also a fully reversible shawlette. When blocked, my shawlette has a wingspan of 66 inches and is 18 ½ inches in width. The border is a basic single crochet. This is a simple knit so no charts are included, only full written instructions.
