Top-down, seamless, and stretchy, this cozy hat is worked in Super Bulky weight yarn to make it a very quick knit. The stockinette/reverse stockinette horizontal ribbing gives it a nice squishy feeling – skoosh!

The earflaps are worked one at a time, back & forth, then straight into i-cord ties.

Materials:

  • Blue Sky Alpacas Bulky (Super Bulky) yarn, about 65 – 75 yards
  • size US 13 (9.00mm) needles – circular or DPNs
  • two size US 11 (8.00mm) DPNs – for i-cord

Stitches & Techniques:
knit (K), purl (P), make 1 (M1), knit 2 together (K2tog), slip-slip-knit (ssk), and i-cord
I used a backward (back-to-front) YO for the M1 increases, worked as normal sts in the next round.
