From the pattern introduction in Compassionate Knitting:
“In a moment of stillness, water meets the sky, clouds reflect in the water and you cannot tell where the earth ends and the sky begins. With this jacket the unity of the natural world is portrayed in swirling water, endless blue sky, maple leaves, blossoms and the mythic imagery of koi in a still lake. This Japanese inspired jacket features the rich deep blues of still and rippling water and reflected sky with the rich golds and oranges or fleeting carp and floating fallen leaves.”

This project was named in tribute to the Sky Lake Lodge - a Shambhala retreat center in New York’s Mid-Hudson Valley- not too far from RHINEBECK!!!
