“Billow and breeze, islands and seas
Mountains of rain and sun
All that was good, all that was fair…….
over the sea to Skye”

by Robert Louis Stevenson*

Skye Boat Shawl is slightly asymmetrical in shape and features lovely textural stitches that work up quickly in worsted weight yarn. The slip stitch rib is reversible while the lace pattern is equally beautiful and unique on both sides. The shawl begins with a few stitches at one wing tip and is knit across to the other wing tip. The size is easily adjusted by altering the number of repeats of the main pattern.

Blocked size of samples shown: Large - 64” wide x 28” deep Small - 48” wide x 22” deep
