Skyfall is a quick, but eloquent lace scarf that uses just 1 skein of precious Artyarns Mohair Splash. The design combines several modified brioche stitches, worked at a loose gauge. The scarf is reversible with great texture. Of course, you can substitute any yarn; but yarns with a halo, like mohair, work especially well. Use needles that are at least 2 sizes larger than the size recommended on the ball band.

Pattern revised on 10/24/2012 to clarify that when working Row 1 for the first time, substitute a k1 for each brk1.

This pattern uses brioche terms and abbreviations as established by Nancy Marchant at www.briochestitch.com and in her book, Knitting Brioche (North Light Books, 2009). This book is highly recommended for anyone interested in learning more about brioche knitting.
