Nothing is more evocative of New York than its scintillating skyline and yellow cabs. With its bright yellow and subtle gray, the colorway NY Taxi reminded me of those urban buildings that, at night, become towers of light. My favorite skyscraper is the Chrysler, and I used its soaring spear to design the border of Skyline. The light of the buildings then progressively disappear in the night sky, until it is replaced by the brightness of the stars.

This pattern was designed for two of The Yarn Company’s exclusive colorways from The Verdant Gryphon, The Yarn Company Taxi and Bad Girl

Knit from the bottom up, it is an asymmetrical triangle, and uses purposely caught floats to create a pleasing pattern on the back of the work.

If you have never knitted stranded before, it contains links to several videos showing the techniques used in details.

Pattern contains both charts and written instructions.

Yardage:
Taxi: 162yds
Bad Girl: 240yds
