Last fall I was handed a skein of Kraemer Yarn’s Saucon Sock and I knew it was something special. The fiber content immediately had me thinking of summer. Summer makes me think of fresh cut grass which was always my dad’s responsibility. In fact, he has often complained that he felt like he spent every spare moment of his summers cutting grass. That’s because he maintained the lawns for our home as well as 4 other family owned properties. Needless to say, it was many acres and many hours. My dad grew up in Stroud, Oklahoma and is very proud of it’s history so I named these after the Skyliner Motel on historic Route 66 in downtown Stroud.
