The scarf is knit as one long cylinder and can be worn as a scarf or as a loop, although it can be a bit snug as a loop. The color pattern is achieved through stranding.

The pattern is relatively simple and can be picked up and put down at any time without much “re-thinking”.

The hardest part is keeping your tension even using silk and paper yarns - no stretch.

The evenly spaced rectangles and the colors remind me of windows in a skyscraper.

3 cones of ITO Washi and 2 cones of ITO Kinu are needed. All of the Washi was used up and about 10 g of Kinu was left.

Note (December 2015): Some knitters have found that 4 cones of Washi are necessary to finish the scarf as written. In the version shown, 3 cones of Washi were used with approx. 2 meters left over. About 10 g of Kinu was left over.
