Deceptively simple, this blanket is worked all in one piece, so there’s no sewing involved. It measures approx. 66 x 75 cm (26 x 30 inches), making it ideal for a car seat, buggy or Moses basket, and the unisex design means it’s also a good baby shower gift. It’s a great introduction to using a cable needle or, if you are more confident, you can simply work the second stitch on the left-hand needle before the first stitch.

You will need 400g of chunky yarn, 6mm needles, a cable needle and a tapestry needle to weave in the loose ends.
