Bring a pop of colour to your outfit with cables that wind their way around each of your legs, instructions for both right and left are included so your look is symmetrical. Bootcuffs are a great way to achieve the look of chunky socks without the bulk. Slanted Steps has no shaping, so it’s a good project if you want to branch out into cables, you can just focus on those (which aren’t as hard as you might think)! They’re knit in the round out of Cascade 220, and are offered in five sizes: little kid, big kid, ladies’ small, medium, and large, so you can make matching sets for family members. Plus, you can make them in multiple colours to change up your outfit or give them away as trendy but quick Christmas presents.

The pattern calls for worsted weight yarn, the cable pattern pulls it in quite a bit.
