The Slater Mill Cowl is worked in simple twisted cables to mimic the lines of the historic Slater Mill buildings. Worked in soft Cormo yarn, this cowl is equally fashionable worn down or looped double around the neck for added warmth.

Yarn:
• Foxfire Fiber & Designs “Cormo Classic” (100% Cormo; 250 yards/110 grams), 2 skeins. Shown in “Sedge” colorway.

Needles/Notions:
• US#8/24” circular needle or pair of straight needles. Or size needed to get gauge.
• Tapestry needle.
• Materials for preferred method of Provisional Cast-On.
• Spare needle for 3-Needle Bind-Off.

Gauge:
• 18 stitches/22 rows=4” in stockinette stitch. After blocking.

Finished Measurements:
• 50” circumference; 101⁄2” depth.

Pattern Notes:
Cowl is started with a Provisional Cast-On, then worked flat in pattern until desired length is reached. Provisionally cast-on stitches are then unzipped and joined to working stitches with a 3-Needle Bind-Off.
