The Sleeping Willow Shawl features a center of openwork with cascading shells along the sides that is perfect for an adventurous beginner. It has an easy to remember five-row repeat, with enough variation to keep things interesting for an exceedingly enjoyable project. The shawl is worked side-to-side and can end after any even-numbered row, making it exceedingly easy to customize.

The pattern includes instructions for a small, which uses 100g of yarn, and a large that uses 150g of yarn. When gauge is met, the 100g shawl’s sides measure 32” by 37”. It has a wingspan of 41” and measures 22” down the back. The 150g shawl’s sides measure 39” by 44”. It has a wingspan of 46” and measures 29” down the back.
