A real charmer, this little sleepsuit makes a cherished hand-me-down in soft Patons Beehive Baby yarn or Kroy 3 ply. Copied from a 1940’s pattern (publisher unknown).

Skill Level: Intermediate.

Pattern provides only one size.

Size 3 1/4 mm (U.S. 3) knitting needles or size needed to obtain tension. Size 3 1/4 mm (U.S. 3) circular knitting needle 70 cm long. 10 buttons, 2 stitch holders.

Garment is worked from shoulders down.

Three skeins of one type of yarn needed for size 3-6 months.

Chest measurement: 16”
Finished chest: 18”

It was originally published by Patons and Baldwins Limited, Toronto, Ontario Canada in a booklet called, “Beehive for Bairns Volume 3 from First Size to 2 Years”. It was part of a set of patterns called, “The Layette”.

Patons and Baldwins later published the same sleepsuit except with mock cables on the sleeves and body pieces instead of ribbing in a booklet called, “ Beehive for Bairns Volume 3 Abridged”. It was part of a set of patterns called, “The Beehive Layette”.
