The Sleepy Hollow Shawlette was inspired by Ichabod Crane’s midnight flight from the Headless Horseman. It features a pointed crescent shape and a modified Viennese lace edging reminiscent of cobwebs and drooping tree branches, perfect for wearing out at the witching time of night.

Special skills required: garter tab cast (pattern gives a tutorial link) and modified picot bind-off . This simple lace pattern would be ideal for a beginning lace knitter.
