Materials
- approx. 40(50,70,80)g or 105(131,183,209) yards of any worsted weight yarn
For sample I used Ophelia Italy Zeus yarn (shade001)

• small amounts of worsted weight yarn in following colors “ white for eyes; black or dark grey for eye embroidery; dark grey or yellow for beak
• crochet hook 5mm (H) or size needed to obtain gauge
• tapestry needle
• pins

Gauge
With worsted weight yarn “ work 7sts and 7 rows in sc to measure 5x5cm or 2x2in using 5mm hook, or size required to obtain the gauge.
