I ran this pattern as a KAL on my blog. It was one of those things that popped into my head after an evening star gazing with my family. The pattern has three little knitting patterns. A sheep, a star and a crescent moon. Each comes out at about 10cm across. The instructions for making the mobile are also in the pattern. This is a bit of fun, useful for using up bits of wool. The creamy alpaca I used is local to me and one of the nicest double knit yarns I’ve worked with but you could use anything. I would suggest changing the needle size if your using anything other than double knit.

This pattern uses central double decrease, as well as more common decreases and increases. I’ve tried to give an accurate description of how CDD is done. You will also need to make I-cords.

You will need a cream or white double knit, about 150m and about 40m of black, 75cm ribbon, two metal hanger (which will need to be bendable, and washi tape (optional)
