Simple fingerless gloves incorporating seafoam stitch to go with my light seas hat. Seafoam stitch gives a decorative back to the gloves with garter stitch on the palms for warmth and practicality.

These are knit flat and sideways and seamed. Knitting sideways allows a nice stretch of the sea foam stitch pattern.

I have written pattern for a heavy DK weight but could easily be adapted for either lighter or heavier wools.

Gauge is not critical as more or less rows/stitches can be included to compensate for different gauges.

Knit on 4mm needles. You will need 4mm circular or dpns to knitting the thumb cuff.
