Lovely and vibrant alpaca yarn makes for a pleasing vest and scarf combination. The cropped vest is made with a bright three-color edging, scallops on the bottom edge and picots on the neck and armhole borders. The body of the vest is made with a V-shaped two color slip stitch pattern. The matching scarf is made with intarsia leaves and a different one color slip stitch. The slip stitch mimics ribbing and will make the scarf lay nicely around your neck. One end of the scarf has the scallop edging and the other end is finished off with picots. The scarf has a button which hold the scarf in place with the one shorter end hiding behind the decorative leave side…you could eliminate the button and wrap the scarf around our neck, maybe making the scarf a little longer, but more yarn might be needed if you choose this option.
