Slipt Colour

Love variegated yarns? Looking for patterns that showcase the colours as they dance across the skein? Slipt Colour is for you.

This hat forms part of a mini collection designed to make the most of the glorious variegated skein you are coveting. Quick and Easy to knit these designs are a delight to make.

Clear patterns, accompanied by detailed video tutorials help you get the most for the techniques featured in these patterns.

Slipt Stripes

Sometimes we fall in love with a skein but the colour variegation is just a little bit too much, fear not … there is no need to banish that skein to the bottom of the stash box any more, grab a contrasting or complimentary solid shade and cast on Slipt Stripes.

Your background yarn colour serves as a backdrop to the main event, pops of exquisite colour dancing around the hat. Play it safe and tone down the colours or be bold and choose two highly contrasting skeins for maximum effect. Why not make a few hats and experiment with all those variegated skeins you love but just can’t find the perfect pattern for.

Worked from the brim to the crown this hat features an attractive two colour cast on that shows off your variegated skein and pulls the hat together. The deep brim is brilliant for snuggling down over your ears to keep you cosy and warm. The body of the hat is worked with a easy to remember slipped stitch stripe pattern and the crown is a breeze to knit – meaning that before you know it you have a magnificent hat and you’re ready to stash dive for the next one!
