This pattern is available for free.

Sloper is a basic template for a sleeveless sweater that, being knitted at a large gauge, involves very few stitches and allows you to get creative. It’s presented as a full-garment chart rather than a written description of a process, so all you need to do is work each row as indicated, or adapt it however you like! Add stripes, colorwork or a stitch pattern; play with the armhole and neck shaping; think about a split hem or exposed seams. Whatever you dream up—

Complete details are on the blog!, along with tips on resizing and/or reshaping the pattern to create a variety of garments.

During the month of May, we’re doing a knitalong! Link your Ravelry projects here and share your plans and progress on Instagram with hashtag #sloperKal

THE BLACK SAMPLE is 3 strands of Quince and Co. Lark held together on US11 needles, approx 410g or just over 8 skeins. It has sloped armholes and a split hem.

THE CAMEL SAMPLE is 3 strands of Shibui Merino Alpaca held together (discontinued). It has square underarms and exposed shoulder seams.

You may use any yarn and needles with which you achieve the pattern gauge of 2.25 sts/inch.
