This pattern is 9 pages long and contains loads of photos to guide you through every step of the process. It is available in either UK or US crochet terms.

To make this purse you will need:

A 4mm crochet hook

An arch frame purse clasp - These are available online from eBay, amazon, & wool warehouse as well as in various other craft shops. You will need a clasp that is 9cm wide.

Mossy brown, chocolate brown and beige yarn (as well as a very small amount of black just for the mouth). I use Bernat Satin in shade ’Forest Mist Heather’ for the body and shade ‘mocha’ for the facial details. This yarn is worsted (aran) weight, so any similar weight yarn would be suitable in order to ensure that your work will fit the purse clasp.

9mm black safety eyes or domed buttons.

A plastic safety nose

Toy stuffing for the body and face.

Strong matching thread for attaching the pieces to the purse clasp - Any thinner yarn or embroidery thread is OK, but DK weight yarn can be too thick to go through the holes on the clasp.

Small magnets to go in the hands—these are optional but they allow your sloth to grip his hands together or even hold a coin. I use strong magnets that are 10mm x 3mm.

Other tools you will need are a tapestry needle, a stitch marker, a needle fine enough to fit through the holes in the purse clasp and some scissors.

You are welcome to sell the items that you make using this pattern, but please do not sell / share the pattern itself. Thank you.
