This is a very rough design that can be adapted easily, just remember that if you add stitches to start with that you decrease evenly at the end to make a neat swirly star texture at the end. This can be jazzed up with the addition of anything but this is a unisex design. I used up some leftover stash aran for this during a cold snap when a hat was required but did not have a pattern but I had seen hats like this everywhere. This makes for a compact gauge and the same number of stitches can easily be used just with 4mm then 5.5mm dpns for an adult.
