Members of the community have been asked to knit or crochet pairs of wool hearts, each small enough to fit inside a hand.

The hearts are then given to families with a loved one suffering from the virus and in palliative care.

Find out more information in the pattern post about the appeal for knit or crochet hearts.

Finished Size - The finished heart when stuffed is around 6.5cm high x 6.5cm wide.

Stuff - Stuff the heart as you work.

Gauge - Don’t worry too much about gauge for this pattern. The gauge of the heart I made is 4 sts/ 5 rounds in 1 inch.

Yarn choice - Any DK yarn/ Lightweight 03 yarn will be ok to use for this project. Stash busting your leftovers is great as you need less than 10g per heart.
