The purple Dragon model was made in worsted weight yarn using 3.75 mm (US size 5) needles. The red Dragon model was made in fingering weight yarn using size 2.25 mm (US size 1) needles.

The Dragon may be made in any yarn weight you choose. The pattern includes approximate yardage/meter requirements for fingering and worsted weights, as well as approximate finished sizes in those yarn weights.

Estimated sizes in fingering weight:
Seat to Head 3.5 in (8.75 cm)
Tail to Toes 5 in (12.5 cm)

Estimated sizes in worsted weight:
Seat to Head 6 in (15 cm)
Tail to Toes 8 in (20 cm)

The 10 page pattern includes written pattern, instructions for techniques used and photos demonstrating key points of the toy’s construction.

The dragon uses two colors of yarn, one for the body and the other for stomach, wings and spine scales.

Techniques used include: knitting in the round, short rows, kitchener grafting.
