I really like her mane! Now you can make your very own Smarty Pants doll, just like Twilight’s! Smarty Pants is Twilight’s doll from when she was just a little filly and she recently used her in a ‘want it, need it’ spell to create a friendship problem when her report was tardy. Hopefully you’ll cause much less trouble with your own Smarty Pants!

You are purchasing the PATTERN to make this crocheted doll, NOT the finished doll (finished doll is available for commission, message me for more details). The completed doll will be about 10 inches tall but size will vary slightly depending on your crochet style and individual yarn tension.

You should be familiar with the following techniques in order to make this pattern:
General crocheting techniques
Pattern reading (pattern is written out in text rows in english)
working in the round
using a marker to mark your rounds
Changing yarn colors while working on a piece
sewing a plush together, general plush making techniques such as stuffing ect
Increasing, decreasing, single crochet, slip stitch, magic ring, finishing off, know the wrong side vs the right side of crochet, ect

You will need:

Gray yarn (worsted weight/regular weight) at least 7 ounces/one skien. You may need more or less depending on how you crochet, everyone is different. I used one skien of “I love this Yarn” brand from hobby lobby in greybeard, this yarn is particularly soft and has a nice feel to it.

Dark blue yarn (worsted weight)- you will need less of this. I used red heart dark blue

Brown chunky weight yarn for the mane (I used deborah Norville collection serenity chunky weight. color: Fudge). You can also use worsted weight brown if you can’t find chunky weight yarn in the color you like.

Small amounts of white, light blue, light green, and red yarn in worsted weight- these are for making the spots on the shorts, the eyes, and the patch. You can also make these out of felt if you like, though the patterns for crocheting them are included.

Black yarn for embroidering

Polyfill/fiberfill for stuffing

Yarn needle for sewing the pieces together

Straight pins for pinning pieces on before sewing them on

G hook and F hook
