Most of us don’t smoke pipes anymore, and even fewer could devote a whole room to the endeavor. Remember relaxing? Our poor, tired feet should still indulge in the finer things. Sure, we might be drinking tea instead of brandy. Our lounging robes might be cotton, rather than silk. But these are the slippers our butler would fetch for us, if we had one.

Note: Slippers are worked at a firmer gauge than that suggested by the yarn manufacturer.

Construction: Slippers are worked in the following order: Work curved instep tab pieces, then place these stitches on holders and set aside. Work heel, then foot, then connect instep tab and work toe.

You’ll Need: Leather or suede scraps for soles.

Finished size: 8 (8½, 8¾)“ (20.5 21.5, 22 cm) foot circumference, 9 (9½, 10½)” (23 24, 26.5 cm) foot length.
