This pattern is knitted in the round on double-pointed needles.
The pattern itself is easy and requires only stocking stitch, reducing by knitting 2 stitches together and i-cord.

The following items are required to complete the pattern:

Yarn: Chunky or double DK (50g suitable colour for shell, plus remnant of contrasting colour for line)
DK remnants of white, black and beige
Other materials: Small amount of filling (for eyes)
2 pipe cleaners
Needles: Dpn (Double pointed needles) in 6 mm and 3.5 mm
Darning needle, stitch holder, possible crochet hook

The eyes are sewn to lengths of i-cord into which a pipe cleaner has been inserted.

Use your imagination and adapt this pattern as you like!

Several buyers have aske me about the snail with the ruffled edge (not featured on this page, but has been published elsewhere. Please see annettle’s instructions on her page. The edging has been crocheted on.
