Snails and Trails is a tribute to my years of gardening whilst living on Vancouver Island.
Beanie-style fits snugly and tips the ears.
Hat can be made of DK or Worsted-weight yarn. When in doubt of sizing, make the next larger size. If making in Worsted yarn, choose the next size down and adjust the height as instructed.

Knit in the round from the brim to the crown, where judicious decreases are incorporated beautifully into the pattern, giving a decorative spiral finish to the crown.
