This is a quick and easy ear saver for kids or adults, and only uses a small amount of yarn - so good for stash busting. You make it all in one go; no sewing on buttons, and you only have to cut the yarn at the end and tie it to the beginning!

The button is the snake’s head, which goes into an open space created by the skip 2 ch. The ear saver is adjustable for different head sizes, or different mask ear loop sizes.

Inspiration credit goes to Claire Olivia for her “no buttons required” ear saver pattern. The snake head is the button pattern, and the body is based on another pattern whose creator I don’t recall – sorry!
