These handspun socks are knit cuff-down with calf shaping and a garter ridge heel flap. All shaping occurs along a purl column that begins at the back of the leg and extends through the heel flap onto the sole. The purl column shapes its way around the foot and into the spiral toe decreases. The “snakes” on each sock wind in opposite directions to make a pair as unique as your handspun. Commercial yarn suggestions are provided. This pattern comes in 4 sizes, from Child to Adult Large. Simple and quick to knit, they make perfect gifts for yourself or for the whole family.
