Snakes and ladders is a charming fall cowl reminiscent of falling autumn leaves.

The gauge is not specified because it is going to be very different based on your yarn. You will want to use needles a size or two bigger than is recommended for the yarn to achieve a pleasant drape with the dropped stitches.

It is worked sideways with cables and dropped stitches. At the end of the cable section, you will then work a leaf lace panel sideways and directly attached to the cable section. To finish, you sew it together and wah-lah! Quick and easy cowl.

This pattern does benefit from a good solid blocking, therefore an animal fiber yarn is recommended. The main sample was knitted in 1 ply thick and thin 100% wool handspun.
