Snickerdoodles is named after my favourite holiday cookies. This recipe makes a large holiday stocking ornament and is a great way to learn fair-isle and sock making techniques. There are three versions available: top down with short row heel, top down with heel flap, and toe-up with short row heel. The type of heel flap used is called a “Band Heel” and is adapted from instructions found in Folk Socks by Nancy Bush.
