Sparkly snowflakes and blustery swirls adorn these socks designed to take away those wintery blues! Worked from the toe-up, this pattern lets you have fun with a unique bead attachment method that looks like embroidery, but is really worked into your knitting as you go.

This pattern is worked on recommended US Size 1 (2.25mm) needles. Directions are written for the DPN, Magic Loop, and Two Circular Needle methods, and are provided in text and chart formats.

Sizing: Three widths shown as: Narrow (Medium, Wide)

  • Narrow Width: 6.0 - 7.5 inch circumference at ball of foot
  • Medium Width: 7.5 - 9.5 inch circumference at ball of foot
  • Wide Width: 9.5 - 11 inch circumference at ball of foot
  • Foot length is determined by knitter.

Yarn Requirements: Approximately 350-375 yards of fingering weight yarn required.

Gauge: Approximately 32 sts = 4” in Stockinette Stitch.

Needles: US Size 1 (2.25 mm), circular method of choice.

Accessories: Stitch markers, a cable needle (or similar), and a blunt-tipped darning needle to weave in ends. For the beaded option: Size 06/0 beads (18 per snowflake) and a small (1.0mm) crochet hook and/or piece of wire for adding beads.
