DESCRIPTION
This design is inspired by the strong winter winds that create snow drifts. There is so much power and beauty in things we often disregard and undervalue. A simple snowdrift created by the winter winds on a cold night often goes unnoticed. But a closer examination can reveal so much. A strong winter wind doesn’t just move obstacles; it reshapes them and changes them into something new. Like a snow drift, we sometimes can feel overlooked and underestimated. And like a strong winter wind, we can use our inner strength and power to turn obstacles in our lives into learning experiences and opportunities. We can move from being the snow drift to the snow drifter. We can have the power to shape and reshape our lives into what we want and can imagine.

Rebecca (above) is shown wearing a Size L mitts, which has a size 8.5”/21.6 cm hand circumference. Rebecca has a size 8”/20.3 cm hand circumference. This design is meant to be worn with approximately 0-0.5”/0-1.3 cm of positive ease in the hand circumference.

This pattern has been tech edited and test knit for ALL sizes.

CONSTRUCTION
This pattern has two options: mitten and fingerless mitt. Each mitt is worked from the cuff to the top of the hand in the round. The cuff is a twisted stitch ribbing and the hand is worked mostly in the Checkered Box Pattern. The checkered box pattern is a beginner friendly pattern that uses only knit and purl stitches.
