Warm enough for Canadian winters, the Snow Fort toque (or beanie, if you prefer) is a great winter break project that’s as much fun for the knitter as it is for the kids to wear (especially if you knit it in their favourite colours!)

With a brim folded-under (using an easy, seamless technique) and two strands of colour in a warm and soft wool blend, this double-thick hat will be their go-to for long days building snow forts or spending on the toboggan hill, the cross-country ski trails, the skating pond, and more.

Techniques Used:

  • Knitting in-the-round
  • Slipped stitches
