It doesn’t happen often, but sometimes we get snowstorms when the leaves are still falling from the trees. The crisp, white snow was such a stark contrast with the reds, oranges, and yellows of the leaves. The combination of these colors inspired this hat.

I’ve used a unique slipped stitch technique between rows to create the stained glass effect. It’s a fun technique to knit, and seems more difficult that it really is.

The textured pattern on the brim is a simple four row repeated pattern. It creates a nice edge that makes the hat stand out.
