Snow Queen is an elegant and lightweight cowl, ideal for keeping out those icy winds without being too bulky and heavy.

It features lacework swirls, snowflakes and tiny snow flurries hidden among the stockinette section. The delicate 12-row-repeat border has peaks and dips, rather like the snowdrifts a true frozen queen may create.

For an icy sparkle, optional beads can be added.

Snow Queen is knitted flat from a provisional cast on, then joined as a circle using kitchener stitch. It uses basic lace knitting techniques and instructions are available in both chart and written instruction form.
