The yarn used for this pattern was a hank of handspun By Hello Mango called Snowbaby--70 yds (63m) of Falkland, Merino, Massam, Angelina, sparkle and silver tinsel cord.

This was featured in the Handspun challenge edition.
Kerrie gave us all a skein of handpun and challenged us to make something with it. I asked mine what it wanted to be and it replied “A hat!”

A pretty hat with a simple stitch pattern that gives it a scalloped lower edge, this is the perfect design for someone looking to take that step further than stocking stitch or simple rectangular scarves. This simple, modified feather and fan stitch pattern is knitted flat and seamed at the end and there is no shaping until after you have finished with the pattern stitch. All in all, the perfect pattern to build your confidence and extend your skills.
