This is named after a beautiful loop at one of my favourite Nordic ski destinations.

The cardigan is worked from the top down, in one piece, with false st st ‘seams’ on a mainly reverse st st background. It has roomy pockets and extra long sleeves.

Provisional cast-on is recommended for the back collar sections, and Cable cast-on is recommended for the pockets. Total length is approximately 80 cm / 32 inches.

About the yarn - although Kathmandu and Silk Road are labelled DK weight, their recommended gauge is 20 st / 10 cm (4 inches), so if you are substituting yarn, I would recommend a worsted, rather than DK weight.

Suitable for an average knitter.

Correction: On the top half of p. 3, all RS rows should begin with “work LEFT collar as established” and end with “work RIGHT collar as established”.
