In conjunction with the release of the Year of Gift designs, we have limited kits that include a custom leather tag, yarn for sewing the tag on (in both contrast and matching colors), a custom sticker, and a postcard with a code to download the pattern for free. Find the kit on our site here or ask for it at your favorite LYS!

Worthy of Note
This hat begins with a provisional cast on, then a folded brim is worked in a K2, P2 Ribbing. Once the ribbing is complete, the provisional cast on is unpicked and placed on a spare circular needle and the stitches are joined to created a folded brim. While I found it easy to place the provisionally cast–on stitches onto my larger needle, you may find it necessary to transfer the stitches to a 2nd smaller needle if the stitches are too small to fit comfortably on the larger needle.

After the brim is complete, the body of the hat is worked in a graphic stranded colorwork pattern from a chart. The chart is worked 4 times around. Decreases shape the crown and a pom pom completes the look.
