Snowfence is a cabled parallelogram. The length and width are adaptable to any yarn weight. This could be a snug cowl or a Tom Baker, Dr. Who length scarf. Either way, the bias stretch of this diagonal design will keep you warm and snug against the cold. The cabled design uses twisted stitches against a Reverse St st background. Please note that this pattern calls for knitting and purling through the back loops on both the right and wrong sides of the work.

The scarf is made with Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sport yarn, almost 2 full skeins, using a US #4 needle. The cowl is made with Madeline Tosh Vintage worsted weight yarn, 1 skein, using a US #7 needle. Please note the cowl also needs 5 buttons. Gauge is not critical for this project.

Other notions: 2 cable needles, and a tapestry needle for weaving in ends.
