This thick and cozy hat features a snowflake pattern, earflaps, and braided ties. It begins with a two-color braided-cable cast-on for a decorative edge, then the earflaps are worked one at a time in short-rows. The snowflake design is worked using the color-switch technique, in which the knit and purl yarns change position, then the hat is topped off with a distinctive decrease pattern. Weave in the ends carefully for a totally reversible hat!
