These cute and cheerful snowmen baubles are quick and easy Christmas knits.

Worked in hand wash wool yarn they shrink into beautiful felt with just one or two rides in your washing machine. If you have not tried knit and felt yet these make a fun, first project.

Each cheeky snowman will have a different expression!
You could even use them to embellish your gift wrapping or added to a wreath to give visitors a little smile.

This 4 page pattern includes full instructions for knitting, sewing up, stuffing, creating the face and felting your baubles.

These knit and felt decorations are both cat proof and child friendly- a very important consideration in my house, My Siamese cat believes all Christmas decorations are cat toys!

Quick and easy to make, these baubles are knitted flat using stocking stitch and basic increases and decreases. The orange carrot nose is knitted separately and sewn on before felting.

There is no complex pattern work. The eyes and mouth are easily added after seaming and stuffing the baubles, these features blends into the baubles as the felt forms in the wash.

Alternatively you can embroider or sew on features cut from fabric to the bauble after the heads are felted and dried if you wish

Yarn amounts for one snowman bauble-
White 10g (20m, 22yds)
Orange 0.5g (1m, 1.1yd)
Black 1g (2m, 2.2yds)

You will be able to make a tree full of felt baubles from 1 skein of wool!

You could also make plain coloured baubles and embellish them as you wish with needle felting, sequins, ribbon or embroidery.

Cascade 220, Aran weight yarn used single (not double as is often recommended for felting) gives a fine thin felt.

Alternative yarns must be 100% wool and hand wash only.

You will also need toy stuffing to finish this project.
