Knit with acrylic yarn or wool- worsted weight.

You need to know the basic backstitch in embroidery to outline his mouth and embellish the cardinal to look authentic. I do show photos of how to achieve the finished look.

Backside has no design.

You may use any acrylic or wool. I prefer acrylic because of the stiffness and way it hangs.
It just needs a scrap amount of yarn for many of the details.
