These wrist warmers are beautifully soft and squishy. They snuggle you while leaving your fingers free to text, type, play an instrument, turn the pages of a book,…

Featuring a diagonal column of cables popping out against a simple garter stitch background, they have a sophisticated yet rustic style.

Covering just the wrists is surprisingly effective at keeping the hands warm, as the major source of heat loss to the hands is through the veins of the inner wrist.

This is a quick and easy project, taking only one 50g ball of Aran weight yarn and just a few hours, and makes a cosy, personal gift. The featured pair of Snuggle Cuffs were made from some lengths of Noro Silk Garden left over from other projects. The scraps were combined using the fade technique.

Snuggle Cuffs feature a thumb slit, but can also be worn without poking the thumb through, which is desirable when doing some fine tasks. Wearing the wrist warmers in this way also enables them to be worn at different positions on the wrist, to regulate temperature.
