These cute little two-tone booties are quick and easy to knit. They are suitable for any beginner knitter, with instructions given both for knitting in the round and for knitting the booties flat and sewing up the back of the heel. Stitches used are knit and purl, as well as basic increases and decreases.
The booties have thick garter stitch soles for added warmth, ribbed ankles to keep them on kicking little feet and curled tops.

Sizing: 0 – 3 months (9 cm or 3.5 inch foot length) and 3 – 6 months (10 cm or 3.9 inch foot length).

Materials: One ball each of two colours of fingering weight (4ply, #1) yarn, and two sets of knitting needles (one 3.25 mm and one (optional) 2.75 mm or 3.00 mm). A wool darning needle is also required.
The booties can be knitted in leftover sock yarn.
