I’m not quite sure of the etymology for snood but suspect it might be a combination of scarf and hood as that’s what it does.

Knitted on circular needles, the main body of the pattern is a simple woven stitch finished off with ribbing. My friend was so taken with the wrong side of the woven stitch pattern that I made it so it can be reversible if you like it as much as her. It’s a fairly quick knit and shouldn’t take more than a few evenings for an average knitter.

I’d seen quite a few in the shops but none were very good. Some were too tight, some too loose, some were far too short to cover your head and neck etc. Then they were priced anywhere between £25-£50! I thought to myself that I must be able to come up with something better.

So I set to work and think I did. I hope you think so too.

P.S. as with all my patterns, I strongly recommend a tension square as my tension is quite tight.
