Have we all knit sideways garter-stitch hats? I have, and l loved them. Dee liked the one I made her, but requested a hat with more drape and less of a “You know, sticking-up area in the back.” This is the result.

This hat is beyond easy. You don’t even have to wrap the short-row turns. Garter stitch takes care of the gaps for you. There are 12 rows, repeated 12 times = 144, or a “gross” in U.S. retail terms.
